I am honestly encumbered by my role as an artist and activist, as I often choose the latter as a mechanism to instill survival tools for the next generation of Bronx youth, whilst forsaking deep raw artistic energy crippling into silence. I hope to holistically prioritize my artistic practice, finishing projects I’ve left on my desk, and birthing new forms of resistance you can fold and hold tenderly, in the name of ancestors who were never able to share their power, duende, àṣhé.
